Type of Students under A1+A2 Course
Updated: Aug 6
Let’s be honest, we’ve all heard the rumor: German is hard. But when you look at a highly structured, modern curriculum like our Triple A (A1+A2+AI) Beginner Course, that myth quickly falls apart. By breaking down the language into manageable chunks, from basic Verbs (Part 1) all the way to those tricky German prepositions (Part 5 & 6) and even using AI to learn German effectively, the journey becomes incredibly straightforward.
If you've been searching for how to learn German easy (or even typing "Learn German Easy" into Google at 2 AM), the secret isn't just the curriculum. It’s how you approach it.
This Triple A (A1+A2+AI) Beginner course covers both the A1 and A2 courses, taking in all the grammars and topics listed under Goethe and Telc's A1 and A2 standards as required by their A1 and A2 exams. And under this course the student will be able to leverage various AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Nano Banana 2, Gamma, etc..

Based on our comprehensive A1+A2+AI course structure, we’ve identified six distinct types of students based on their pacing and study habits. Which one are you?
1. The "Fantastic Pace" Student
This student is a force of nature. They want to learn german fast and they put in the exact work required to learn german like natives. When they hit Part 1 (Verbs I) and Part 2 (Articles & Pronouns), they completely absorb the material.

Schedule: Takes 3 lessons per week consistently, finishing the A1+A2 milestones in up to 3 months.
Consistency: Follows through the entire lesson structure perfectly without failing or dropping off.
Homework: Carries out all of the exercises exactly on time.
Mindset: Carries out all exercises with the strict intention of "application", not just passive learning. They aren't just memorizing; they are using it.
Practice: Tries out speaking practice always, completely refusing to just stick to safe writing and reading.
The Extra Mile: Always goes the extra mile on learning German. You'll find them watching German YouTube videos, actively using language apps, and trying out extra exercises in external books.
2. The "Great Pace" Student
This student is highly effective and motivated, making great time through the tricky middle sections like Part 3 (Verben II) and Part 4 (Adjectives & Conjunctions). They might have a tiny bump or two, but their trajectory is excellent.

Schedule: Takes 3 lessons per week consistently for up to 3 months, with just a few lessons moved or taken flexibly.
Consistency: Follows through the lesson structure good enough, experiencing only slight delays due to the misunderstanding of some complex exercises (like Nebensätze / subordinate clauses).
Homework: Carries out all of the exercises great, though a few exercises are skipped here and there when life gets busy.
Mindset: Carries out all exercises with the intention of "application", aiming to use the vocabulary in real-life contexts like ordering in cafés or talking about the environment.
Practice: Tries out sometimes speaking practice, rather than just relying entirely on writing and reading.
The Extra Mile: Sometimes goes the extra mile on learning German, occasionally bingeing YouTube videos, using language apps, or checking out supplementary books.
3. The "Good Pace" Student
Steady, reliable, and realistic. This student balances life and language learning well. By the time they reach Part 5 and 6, they have a solid enough foundation to tackle german prepositions without burning out.

Schedule: Takes 2 lessons per week consistently, leading up to a 4-6 month completion timeline.
Consistency: Follows through the lesson structure good enough, with a few reschedulings happening along the way.
Homework: Carries out the exercises great, with a few exercises skipped here and there due to high difficulty or simply having no time.
Mindset: Still carries out all of the exercises with the intention of "application", not just rote learning. They want their German to be usable in the real world.
Practice: Tries out speaking practices sometimes.
The Extra Mile: Sometimes goes the extra mile on learning German by using language apps or watching a few YouTube videos when they have the energy.
4. The "Average Pace" Student
This student gets the job done, but they might be leaving some potential on the table. They get through the course, but when it comes to the Add-on "Anwendungstest" (Application Test) involving job applications or describing cities, they might struggle to recall what they learned.

Schedule: Takes 2 lessons per week consistently, leading up to 4-6 months.
Consistency: Follows through the lesson structure good enough, but with a couple of rescheduling throughout and some delays based on misunderstanding exercises.
Homework: Carries out the exercises great, but with noticeable delays on actually completing them.
Mindset: Here is the catch: they carry out all of the exercises simply for the sake of finishing them. They don't make good use of the exercises to actually absorb the language.
Practice: Tries out speaking practices only once in a while.
The Extra Mile: Only once-in-a-while goes the extra mile to consume German YouTube videos, use apps, or look at extra books.
5. The "Slow Pace" Student
Slow and steady wins the race. This student proves that taking a long time doesn't mean you're a bad student—in fact, their fundamentals are incredibly strong because they focus on application.

Schedule: Takes 1 lesson per week consistently, leading up to a 6+ month timeline.
Consistency: Follows through the lesson structure good enough, with only a few reschedules despite the long timeframe.
Homework: Carries out the exercises great, with few delays on completing them. A few exercises are skipped here and there, but overall compliance is high.
Mindset: Carries out all of the exercises with the intention of "application", not just passing a test. They really want to understand how things work.
Practice: Tries out sometimes speaking practice, pushing beyond just reading and writing.
The Extra Mile: Sometimes goes the extra mile (YouTube, apps, books) to keep themselves immersed between their weekly lessons.
6. The "Relaxing Pace" Student
This student is in no rush whatsoever. They are here for the vibes and are taking the most leisurely stroll through the A1+A2+AI curriculum.

Schedule: Takes 1 lesson per week consistently, stretching the course to 6+ months.
Consistency: Follows through the lesson structure good enough, but with a couple of reschedulings and delays stemming from misunderstanding some of the exercises.
Homework: Carries out the exercises great, but with consistent delays on completing them.
Mindset: Similar to the Average Pace student, they carry out all of the exercises purely for the sake of finishing them. They didn't make well use of the exercises to bridge the gap to fluency.
Practice: Tries out speaking practices only once in a while.
The Extra Mile: Only once-in-a-while goes the extra mile on learning German outside of class hours.
So Which one are you?
Whether you want to speedrun the grammar and learn german fast, or you prefer a "Slow Pace" approach that focuses deeply on application, the A1+A2+AI structure is designed to catch you. Remember, mastering a language isn't just about the hours you put in; it's about your intention. Treat your exercises as real-world applications, speak out loud as often as you can, and you'll realize that conquering German is entirely within your reach!
